One of the hardest things in the work I do is looking after babies that get given

to me for pallative care.  These are high special needs children that are needing

love and care until they die.  These children I look after myself in my home and

they become very part of my family.

One of these babies was my very special Eli.  He had multiple disorders and

only lived until he was 8 weeks old.   I had great vision of praying for him

and ushering him into the prescence of the Lord in his last moments

but it was nothing like that.   Death is harsh and prolonged. I knew he was

going and it was the hardest thing I have ever had to do in my life....

hold this precious baby that I loved so much until he took his last breath.

Eli changed my life in 8 weeks.

He taught me that life is fragile...

He taught me to overcome things...

He taught me to love a little more...

He taught me that life is worth living everyday despite the challenges we face...

Rest in peace my precious Eli                                                                                            Written By: Tracy King
